How can I prepare for home ownership in Nuche Village?

We've created a "Path to Homeownership" PDF to give potential buyers a guideline on the steps they should consider taking when purchasing a home in Nuche Village. The following steps are included:

1. SIGN UP: Sign-up for the Town of Granby Community Housing Newsletter for updates and email alerts on when the application will open!

2. APPLY FOR A HOME IN NUCHE VILLAGE 

• Applications opened in July of 2025 and close August 3, 2025. All applications will be available and will need to be submitted on the Town of Granby website. Accommodations are available for those needing assistance or other materials for accessibility. 
• Those applying for a home do not need a realtor. The Town of Granby is utilizing Lindsey Morrow Properties to serve as the real estate agent for the Town and buyers. Lindsey Morrow will be working directly with applicants on questions and to assist in the buying process.

3. RESEARCH: Get to know the deed restriction and community guidelines information. 

4. CONNECT WITH A LENDER: Determine which type of housing makes sense for you and your budget. Get preapproval from your lender (whether it’s a bank, credit union, mortgage lender, or other).

5. TAKE A HOMEBUYING COURSE: The Colorado Housing and Finance Authority hosts free first time home buying courses across Colorado and online. Visit https://www.chfainfo.com/homeownership/homebuyer-education to learn more and see when the next class is available! 

6. LOTTERY DRAWING: Lottery drawing dates will be announced two weeks prior to the event.

7. LOTTERY DRAWING NOTIFICATIONS: Those chosen in the lottery will be notified through contact information provided to us through the application. Applicants chosen in the lottery have two business days to respond to indicate they would like to move forward with the home purchase.
