Mobile Vendor Permit

A mobile vendor is an individual or entity that sells retail merchandise, beverages or food from a non-permanent location.  In the Town of Granby all mobile vendors conducting retail business within Town limits are required to obtain a mobile vendor permit.  (Municipal Code Chapter 5.05),

Retail mobile vendor businesses include, but are not limited to, the sale of taxable items, such as 1) retail products; 2) produce; 3) plants; 4) cottage foods; 5) food trucks/pushcarts.

All mobile vendors are required to hold a Colorado Sales Tax License with Granby, CO added as a location,or ‘site’.

A permit must be issued by the Town of Granby prior to engaging in sales within Town limits. Mobile vendor permits are $25 for a one-year term.  If approved, permits will be issued within five business days of receipt of the completed application packet.

Separately, all food vendors of any kind are required to obtain a Grand County Temporary Food at Special Events Permit. Please visit their page to learn more and complete the application.  Their page also has contact details for assistance, and they have a helpful flow chart for guidance.

For new or remodeled food truck/push carts please visit the Grand County's Consumer Protection Page for requirements and application process prior to applying for a Town mobile vendor permit.
